My work is focused on helping injured people obtain justice against those who caused harm. I approach every new case with the belief that anyone who is unfairly harmed should have the ability to make the situation right. Growing up I learned that people who are unjustly hurt often need help from others who are willing to stand up for them. These advocates are necessary, I came to understand, because those who wrongfully harm others often refuse to take responsibility. Moreover, those who hurt others are often protected by powerful, well-financed entities, such as insurance companies, corporations, and governments. This situation drew me to law school where I could start learning how to help people who need someone to stand up for them.
I have worked as an attorney for more than a decade in both the courts and in private practice. I graduated with a B.A. from Gonzaga University and received my J.D. from the University of Oregon. During and after law school I worked for several judges in our courts including Judge Ronald Gould in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, Judge Gerry Alexander in the Washington Supreme Court, and Judge Gregory Foote in the Lane County Circuit Court. Prior to founding Barden & Barden with my wife Heather, I worked in private practice in Spokane, Tri-Cities, and Seattle.
Living and working in the Inland Northwest is the perfect combination--it allows us to serve the wonderful people who live here and enjoy an incredible quality of life. Heather and I have three children who we love spending time with. You will often find us out and about in the Spokane area enjoying time with our family and friends.
