Judicial Endorsements - November 3, 2020 election

Posted by Jed W. Barden | Oct 12, 2020 | 0 Comments

Since we litigate cases at every level of court in Washington, we thought it would be helpful for people filling out their ballots to know who we support in this year's judicial elections. We see first hand the impact judicial decisions have on our clients, and having good judges is critical to obtaining justice in the courts. The qualities we look for in judges are primarily competence, compassion, and an altruistic desire to serve the community. Judicial elections in Washington are non-partisan. Having a competent judge is so much more important than having a judge with a "D" or an "R" next to their name. Once those preliminary qualifications are met, we look for judges who have the courage to stand up against institutional interests and apply the law against governments and corporations just the same as the law is applied against small businesses and individuals. Who will do that? Here are our endorsements for this year's elections:

Supreme CourtDebra Stephens; G. Helen Whitener; Charles Johnson; Raquel Montoya-Lewis

Court of Appeals Division IIIMarshall Casey
